Excellent location whether you are travelling on business or for pleasure, with a 40 minute train ride in to London and an hours drive to Oxford and Cambridge. Half an hour from Luton Airport so if you are off to that far off land you can spoil yourself before you go!

Bedford itself has a lovely shopping complex - The Harpur Centre where you will find about 30 shops and a pleasant and relaxing atmosphere to browse and treat yourself. Riverside walks will take you to cafes and bars where you can socialise and there is a great market on Wednesday's and Saturday's. With two theatres, six screen cinema and Musical Concert Hall - Bedford Corn Exchange there is no shortage of entertainment. Ceil Higgins Museum and Art Gallery can be found next to Bedford Castle - a Victorian mansion house where you can view ceramics, glassworks and paintings.

Within an hours drive you can enjoy Oxford and Cambridge and if you are a racing fan Silverstone Race Track is about the same distance away too.

We are a perfect base for visiting other sights such as Woburn Abbey, Whipsnade Zoo and Knebworth House.

Another worthwhile trip to be taken is to the nearby Ampthill Wrest Park Gardens - Chinese, Baroque and classical themes, gardens and water features - lovely for an afternoon out.
