Old world charm, period furniture and cottage style ensuite rooms make our establishment a dreamy place to stay. Fabulous views across the Downs, countryside setting and homemade marmalades and Jams all have to persuade you that this is truly a wonderful place.

Bristol itself is just a short drive away and there you can revel in some of the best shopping and social scene around. Once the most important and wealthiest city in England Bristol now boasts an abundance of shops in the Broadmead Centre where you will find over 400 outlets, cafes where you can sit and relax with a cappuccino and numerous bars and clubs to be visited in the evening time.

Museums paying tribute to Bristol's history are free entry and include the Art Gallery where you will find wonderful displays of modern art, French and local collections, the Blaise Castle with its 400 acres of parklands is a wonderful place and you can spend hours musing in the City Records museum or over at the Georgian or Red Lodge museums where you will find fine furniture and architecture from a bygone day.

Super surrounding countryside and a wide stretch of coastline means that you really should explore Somerset and the local market towns around and about. Ferry trips take you up river and give you an entirely different perspective of our ancient city.
