Our wonderfully elegant hotel is a Grade II listed building full of the alure we all want on a holiday break. Also the area of Southend on Sea that surrounds us has been classified as a conservation area. It is wonderfully quiet and peaceful. A truely delightful place for your to stay.

We ahev created the perfect marriage of traditional charm and character along with a wonderfully rich atmosphere. the building has a long and varied history for you to take pleasure in. We have aimed to keep much of the original charm, yet bring it into the modern day for you. The building was completely refurbished and redecorated at the start of 2006 and still is kept clean and tidy inside and out.

We are within easy reach of the town centre with its clubs, bars, theatres, restaurants, museums and the pier. From this convenient location you are in the ideal place to enjoy the many and varied delights that this traditional sea side holiday destination has to offer.

We have just fourteen spacious and wonderfully well appointed single and double rooms. All of our rooms have a welcoming and relaxing ambiance, with tasteful decoration and supremely comfortable furniture all of our guests can expect an enjoyable and memorable stay. While we endeavour to provide our guests with everything they require, unfortunately because of the age of the building we are unable to install a lift.

Our Coffee House and residents bar is a comfortable and cosy retreat where you can relax with a drink from the well stocked bar or enjoy the wide range of light meals, bar snacks, tea and coffee.
