There are many hotels in the Scottish Highlands, but there are few that have a genuinely rich history that dates back over four hundred year. Our wonderful establishment was originally built around 1571 as a royal hunting lodge, and was the property of the Stewart Kings and often used by King James VI. In 1799 it was officially commissioned as a 'Kings House' and Redcoat soldiers were stationed there to ensure the safety of visitors. This proud tradition of warm hospitality and attentive care for the guests who stay here has continued to this day, as you will find when you come to visit us.
The atmosphere throughout our warm and welcoming establishment is similar to staying with friends, allowing our guests to really unwind and recharge their batteries away from the noise and bustle of the city, when you leave you will feel calm and refreshed. We have seven well proportioned and highly individual rooms, that are steeped in history and have their own unique character. With everything you need for an enjoyable stay, we know that you will want to return and see us again.
