Set in the Wiltshire countryside, a few miles to the west of Swindon, our delightful Victorian grade II listed building was originally a school, but now offers travellers a high standard of accommodation and service. An award winning establishment you will find we have everything to ensure that your visit with us is a memorable experience, for all the right reasons.
We have 10 tastefully decorated and furnished rooms that are supremely comfortable and have en-suite bathrooms, colour TV, tea/coffee making facilities, direct dial telephone and WiFi internet connection.
The dinning room was once the school assembly hall and has high ceilings and tall mullioned windows, but now it is elegantly decorated to provide relaxing atmosphere in which to enjoy the varied menu provided by our Chef, with seafood, oysters, mussels and scallops fresh from Falmouth, being a particular speciality of the house.
There is also a bar area where you can sit and unwind with a drink from the bar, chat with friends or plan your excursions for the next day. There are many places of interest for you to visit, with Steam- the Museum of the Great Western Railway; Bowood House and Gardens; Lydiard Park and the prehistoric monument at Avebury being just some of those that are within easy driving distance.
