Tenby Hotels Tenby Wales Accommodation GuideThe walled town of Tenby is one of Wales's most popular seaside resorts. As well as its three Blue Flag beaches (a third of Pembrokeshire's total), pastel-coloured houses and handsome harbour, it's also home to some precious historical sights. Rising up on a rocky headland from the sands, the most prominent of these is Tenby Castle. Although now ruined, the remains are still an impressive sight, and provide an unusual accompaniment to the typical seaside view. Slightly further inland is another reminder of the town's important past - the Tudor Merchant's House. Constructed in the 15th century (at the height of Tenby's prosperous seafaring days), the three-storeyed whitewashed house makes for a fascinating glimpse of the region's heritage. Modern attractions also feature, however. They include the oldest established golf club in Wales (which has earned a place in the top ten Best Value Courses in the UK); the Silent World Aquarium and Reptile House; and Heatherton Country Sports Park, with go-karting and paintball for the kids. For a completely different experience, you can take a boat out just 2 miles to Caldey Island. The island is home to both 12th and 20th monasteries, with the latter inhabited by monks making a living from the manufacture of perfumes. Now you know ehere you are why not choose from our cheap hotels in Tenby that are below. A stay to remember from an online reservations service you have trusted since 2001.

Tenby Wales is towards on the south coast. This is the starting point for the Pembrokeshire heritage coast wihich stretchs out southeast of here. Tenby castle is a close by ruin for those of you who like the old castles. The town itself still has walls running through it made of the same stone and gives you a real feel of Norman Wales. |
