Hotels Bicester England Cheap Bicester Hotels Guide

Hello and welcome to our splendid selection of hotels in Bicester. You can find great rooms at low low prices here. Situated in North-East Oxfordshire, this picturesque market town has a history of wowing its visitors with both its shops and its natural beauty. The surrounding area's charm is so great that it was used as the setting for the reminiscent Lark Rise to Candleford trilogy, by Flora Thompson. Seeing as the town has a strong history in selling wares it is maybe fitting that it is home to Bicester Village, a huge shopping district where traditional stores mix with modern names and are all housed within beautiful white buildings with charming purple, pink and blue facades. The rest of the town is something special to behold as well, with its half-timber Tudor buildings and the Market Square (actually more of a triangle), which is a popular stop along the town's trail, guides for which can be found at the Visitor's Centre. Other great sightseeing can be had at Rousham Park House and Gardens; built in 1635 the house is a castle-like structure with huge grounds, including: walled and ornamental gardens, a pigeon house, espalier apple trees and a rare herd of long-horn cattle, which can be seen in the nearby fields. If you're in the mood to relax then a trip to Garth Park is in order. Winner of the Best South West Park award; this beautiful site is also the centre for events in the town, such as the Bicester Jazz Festival which attracts some of Britain's top musicians. The town is just off Junction 9 on the M40 and can be reached by direct train from London Marleybone in under an hour and in less than 30 minutes from county capital Oxford. This sleepy Oxfordshire town is located to the north east of Oxford and nearly on both the Northants and Bucks borders. With a population of about 28k the bustling market that takes place here on a friday is worth a look for local produce look out also for the farmer's co-operative markets that pop up here.
