Standing in a superb setting, our unique Grade II listed building has looked out over the surrounding beauty of the countryside since it was built way back in 1460 as a magnificent fortified mansion. The castle as it is today was designed by Sir John Hay Williams and the work was completed between 1830 and 1862. The next major renovation was in 1983, when great care was taken to return it to its Victorian design.
