Our superb medieval castle has a diverse and wonderfully rich history. Originally built in 1277 when Edward I of England granted it to Dafydd, brother of Prince Llewelyn ap Graffudd, since then it has seen its share of conflict, intrigue and romance, that you can find out more about when you arrive. When you sign the register you will be adding your name to along list of famous, and infamous, people - including many members of Royalty, the most recent being Edward VII and HRH Prince Charles
As you arrive you will be greeted by our pink marble monumental lions, that stand outside our door, and as you walk up the red carpet into the reception area you will know that you stay here is going to be something a little special. It is easy to feel a little daunted by the scale and splendour of your surroundings, with high ornate ceilings, oak panelling and magnificent stone carved feature fireplaces, but don't worry, our friendly and cheerful staff will soon have you feeling right at home.
