Over many centuries, pilgrims have made their way to our town - visiting the shrine of St Edmund - the Martyred King of East Anglia - admired the world over. Once the days of George the Dragon Slayer arrived there was a new order of organisation and militant leadership but the Abbey of St Edmund remains and has a powerful pull for visitors to this day.

Dragons, angels, myths and legend all combine with modern day technology, shopping, social scene and flowers that have made the town famous for its floral excellence - baskets, window boxes and gardens that are filled with colour, aroma and wonder - you might even spot the odd fairy!!

Explore the beautiful streets and delve in to the many and varied shops that display everything from fine fashions, accessories to gorgeous gifts, colourful bags and jazzy waistcoats. Musical delights which include the didgeridoo brought back from far off travels.

Afternoon teas and days chatting in the sunshine. Market time is twice weekly in the Buttermarket and Cornhill - a social event but a time when you can find the local provisions and perhaps hidden treasure.

Magic and charm fill the air and evenings can be spent frequenting the pubs to find the best tasting ale or sitting in an inviting and intimate restaurant with your favoured company.

Guests Name: sarah  Guest was travelling as: Solo business traveller
Good stuff: the room was warm and cosy bedding was clean and the room service quick hot and tasty and the waiter very helpful and polite
Bad stuff: I was put in a disabled room and having driven 300 miles with more to do the next day I wanted a bath. However even though the hotel wasnt full I was too tired and nervous to complain.Wish service trays had more than 2 milks and 2 tea bags especially for lone women who dont want to sit in the lounge
Overall: This is a great location fo BST business, easy to reach, good checking in after booking online.I just wish hotels were more single female business traveller friendly
