Although newly refurbished, a great deal of thought and care has gone into carefully improving our family run establishment, without diminishing the character and charm of the building that has been forged over many generations by the countless guests who have stayed here.
Each of our luxury rooms has been refurbished and equipped to a high standard and decorated in shades of gold and reds, with rich, warm woods that create a luxurious, soothing atmosphere. All of our rooms have stylish Victorian style bathroom suite and fittings that are in keeping with the style of the building, and have either a bath or shower and complimentary toiletries; hairdryer; a selection of mineral waters; tea and coffee making facilities; a work area with desk, lamp, direct dial telephone and fax machine; trouser press; central heating; windows that open; sitting area with meeting/dining table; alarm clock radio; colour TV with cable, satellite channels; security chain and, just in case you get too cosy in the comfortable bed, you can book a wake-up call so that you don't miss that important appointment.
In our Olde-Worlde bar and lounge area we have comfortable leather sofas, open fires in the winter and you can sample the wide selection of light meals and snacks that are available throughout the day, or if you prefer something a little more formal, our Tudor Room restaurant offers a full A La Carte menu, perfectly prepared and presented in elegant and stylish surroundings.
In summer you can enjoy a drink and sunshine, with street side tables and chairs overlooking the square.
