Our historic and traditional Inn has catered for the needs of travellers for generations, supplying good food and drink to refresh them on their journey, but it was not until around 1980 that the top class accommodation that you will find now was built to provide visitors to this area with superb accommodation and excellent facilities. To make certain that we keep pace with the ever changing needs of the modern traveller a major refurbishment was undertaken in 2003.
We have 27 well proportioned, tastefully decorated and wonderfully comfortable twin and double rooms. Each room is individually decorated and furnished using harmonising colours, soft fabrics and comfortable furniture to enhance the calm and soothing ambiance of the room. In a harmonious mix of olde-worlde charm and modern technology all of our rooms have everything expected from an establishment of our standard, including en-suite bathroom with bath or shower; central heating; windows that you can open; a work area with desk, lamp and direct dial telephone; trouser press; hairdryer; remote control colour TV with satellite channels; smoke detectors; hospitality tray with tea, coffee and biscuits and, just in case you get too cosy, you can book a wake-up call to ensure you don't miss the full English or Continental Breakfast that is included in the cost of the room.
Our cosy restaurant is the perfect setting for a romantic meal, with low beams, authentic flag-stone flooring and, when the weather is chilly, real log fires to warm you as you dine.
