Ye Olde Anchor Inn Ruthin Rhos Street

Built as an Inn in the 18th century, to cater for the drovers who passed by when taking their animals along the main Hollyhead to Shropshire road to market. Over the many years since then it has gained both a rich history and an enviable reputation for providing much needed accommodation, good food and a warm welcome for travellers passing through our region. The original features of the building, with low ceilings and oak beams ensure that the ambiance remains cosy and olde-worlde. Now our guests find that the accommodation we provide is comfortable, elegant and equipped with all of the latest in modern technology that even the most discerning traveller would expect to find in their choice of accommodation. Each of our 25 well appointed and stylish twin and double rooms have a work space, direct dial telephone and modem connection, everything you need for a successful stay, whether you are here on pleasure or on business.
Our restaurant has a relaxed and informal elegance and serves excellent foods from the full English breakfast, guaranteed to set you up for the day, to the exquisite A La Carte menu that is served from midday to 10pm.
