The popular sea side town of Whitby has a long and fascinating history. The Captain Cook museum is the house where a young James Cook came to live as apprentice to Captain John Walker. A short walk out side the town is the Church of Saint Mary, whose eerie churchyard inspired Bram Stoker to write her famous novel of Dracula. These are just two of the many attractions that bring people from all over the world to Whitby.
Our magnificent establishment is set in the very heart of the town, with the harbour, beach and other attractions nearby. We have just ten bedrooms, each one is completely individual, richly decorated and has its own, very distinct, character. Recently refurbished our guests enjoy a high level of warm and friendly personal service, plus superbly comfortable accommodation, with our rooms having everything even the most discerning traveller would require for a relaxed and comfortable stay.
If you are travelling with your family, or perhaps you just prefer a little more space and freedom, we also have four completely self contained cottages. Each one is delightfully decorated and has everything you need in a home from home and can accommodate from two to four people in comfort.
Because we know that not everyone likes to get up early when they are on holiday we serve breakfast from 8 to 10:30 am. Our restaurant has an excellent reputation with guests and locals, and serves a wide range of dishes. As you might expect being so close to the sea, our sea food really is something special.
